Frequently Asked Questions

Please find a selection of FAQs below that you may find helpful. If you have specific questions or would like to know more about how we can help you with your temperature-controlled vehicle conversion needs, please contact our friendly and knowledgeable team today.

How long do refrigerated van conversions take?

On average conversions take anywhere from two to four weeks to complete, but this does depend on the build required and any bespoke options of the conversion. Our friendly team will advise you of lead times based on your specific requirements.

What temperature can I expect from a refrigerated vehicle with you?

Depending on the refrigerated unit required, the vehicles can reach anywhere between +21°C to -25°C.

What is an overnight standby function on a fridge van?

Overnight standby is an external electrical plug-in facility allowing a fridge van to operate when the vehicle engine is switched off.

Can you provide shelving options for the inside of a fridge van?

Our vans can meet whatever shelving requirements are needed by the customer, this is included within the conversion process, instead of as an add-on after the conversion has been completed.

Can you provide the commercial van as well as a conversion?

We can offer a variety of makes and models, with a number of finance options available too.

I'd like my vehicle not to have the refrigeration unit showing on the top of the van, is this possible?

Depending on the vase vehicle, this is certainly possible. We can utilise under bonnet and under chassis fridge units in certain base vehicles to remove the need for the unit to be on show.

What is a payload, and what payload can you expect to get on a fridge van?

A payload is any load you can legally carry by a vehicle, including passengers. So with a converted vehicle you would need to consider the payload after the weight of the conversion, driver and fuel. Each make and model of van will differ in payload, ask our team to advise you on the best possible vehicle and conversion to meet your payload needs.

Is there a warranty on the refrigeration unit?

There is a warranty on the refrigeration unit within each conversion, this will vary depending on the manufacturer but normally this warranty is between 12 and 24 months.
